you're surely wondering about a few things too :-) . Here are the answers.

Why only on Android and not on iOS❓

Developing an app for several platforms is considerably more involved than it first appears. In practice, two separate versions often have to be built and maintained for Android and iOS – with correspondingly higher costs in time and money. For the launch we deliberately focused on Android, because:

  • Lower entry costs:
The Google Play Store is cheaper for developers (a one-time fee), whereas Apple charges an annual fee and imposes additional requirements.
  • Share of revenue:
On digital purchases Apple usually keeps up to 30 % commission, which can significantly affect a project's viability.
  • More demanding review and approval process:
Apps in the Apple App Store go through a noticeably stricter and often longer review process. Changes or updates can therefore be delayed.
  • Higher overall effort across several platforms:
Building an app for both systems usually means more development time, more testing and higher costs – especially in the early phase of a project.
  • Focus on a fast start:
Android offers more flexibility and a large user base worldwide, which is ideal for first optimising and refining an app.

👉 The goal is to keep improving the app. An iOS version is certainly conceivable – as soon as the necessary resources and conditions are in place.

Why a retro-style game❓

Quite simply: because less is often more 🙂 Retro games stand for what gaming was originally about: just start, have fun right away and challenge yourself.

  • Get going instantly:
No lengthy tutorial, no complicated menu – start the game and you're right in the thick of it. That is exactly the appeal of classic games.
  • Short rounds, quick sense of achievement:
You can jump in at any time and grab a new high score within seconds. Perfect for short breaks or simply “just one more round”.
  • Ideal on the go:
Whether on the train🚆, in the waiting room, before falling asleep😴 … or even on the loo 🚽😂 Retro and casual games are made exactly for that: short, flexible and playable anytime.
  • Simple, clear gameplay:
No cluttered graphics, no complex rules – just a game you understand at once and can master better and better.
  • The high score takes centre stage:
Instead of endless features it's about the essentials: getting better, surpassing yourself and cracking your own record.

👉 In short: a retro game fits into your day – not the other way around. Fast, uncomplicated and just right for in between.

Why 1 euro❓

I failed to become a millionaire for 60 years. If from 30 May 2026 there are about 326 downloads per day, I'll be a millionaire exactly at 70 😂

JOKING ASIDE

  • Something should remain:
I have planted several trees and have four grown-up children, but no APP yet 😄
  • Give something away:
I would like to give my beloved wife a fantastic holiday.
  • Donate something:
For years I have supported a student in Kenya with 1,200 euros a year. I would be delighted if more students could be added.
  • Cover the costs
If becoming a millionaire by 70, a trip for the love of my life and more students in Kenya should not work out, it would still be nice if at least a few people enjoy the app and it thereby covers its costs for me.😄

👉 In short: buy it, give it away, spread the word - play the APP and collect high scores!

Why only in German❓

The app can of course be played by anyone on Earth. It's just that the texts you type in are mostly in German.

  • The game manual:
I have made it available in both English and German.
  • Phrases and texts:
These are mostly in German, but could of course be played by anyone on Earth without any knowledge of German.
  • User interface:
This too is only available in German, but in my view that shouldn't be a problem, since the manual is also available in English.

👉 In short: don't overthink it, just play.

Why now❓

I recently gave up a very time-consuming task / role, so now I have more time.
👉 In short: because I can.
